Obsidian Records is a Gramophone Award-winning record label devoted to early music. Since it was founded in 2007, Obsidian has defined itself as a label with world-class performances and unique programming, attracting early music lovers as well as critical acclaim. Obsidian focuses on music from the period c.1300-1750, including previously unrecorded repertoire and using new, unique scholarly editions. Packaging and booklet notes also bring new light and vision to exciting and often undiscovered music.
